Homework
Your child will be assigned homework Monday through Thursday. The homework/conduct sheet will have your child's homework for the week. Starting The assignments for the week will be sent home in your child’s homework folder and/or posted to the class website. Your child should complete all assignments by the end of the week and return to school in his/her folder. Part of your child’s homework each night will be to read for 15 minutes. Please be sure to fill in the reading log located with your child's Take-Home book (Baggie Book). See below the type of assignments that will be given each night (these may change throughout the year). During the first few weeks of school, we will discuss and practice what S.O.A.R. looks like in our classroom, in the hallways, cafeteria, and bathroom, and also on the playground. I believe that good behavior is key to being a successful learner. For this reason, your child will receive a daily conduct grade. The daily grade will be noted as follows: 3=meets expectations; 2=inconsistently meets expectations; and 1=does not meet expectations. Please sign the conduct sheet every night. Your signature will let me know that you are aware of your child’s conduct grade.
